What the calculator takes into account

Under Article 354 of the Civil Procedure Code of Ukraine, an appeal against a court decision must be filed within 30 days, and an appeal against a court order within 15 days.

A procedural deadline starts on the day after the date or event that triggers it. If the last day falls on a weekend, public holiday, or another non-working day, the last day is the next working day.

The calculator does not decide which date is correct in a particular case. It may be the date the full text was prepared or the date the judicial act was actually served on a party.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Why is the start date so important?

Because in a civil case the time limit may depend not only on the pronouncement date but also on when the full text was prepared or a copy of the court act was served on a party.

How to account for a notice in the e-court system

The calculator does not check the electronic court account. Separately establish the date the document was delivered or served and enter that date as the starting date.

Can an appeal be filed after the deadline?

You may ask the court to renew the time limit, but you must substantiate the valid reasons for missing it and provide evidence. Renewal is not automatic.

Is moving the date from a weekend enough?

No. The calculator moves only Saturday and Sunday. Public holidays, other non-working days, and the specific court’s operating schedule must be checked separately.

Is the tool suitable for every ruling?

It shows a deadline only if the order may be appealed separately. Check the list and procedural exceptions under the Civil Procedure Code and the text of the order.
