Online purchase withdrawal deadline calculator
Ordered a product from a Kyiv online store or a service online? Identify the event that starts the time limit and whether the seller properly confirmed the information. The calculator distinguishes a distance contract from an ordinary in-store purchase and shows an estimated date for notifying the seller of withdrawal.

Check the deadline for notifying the seller
Select the scenario documented by the evidence. The date an order was placed is not, by itself, a universal start date.
Enter the actual event date shown in the documents, not the date the order button was clicked.

Preliminary refusal calendar
Without checking exceptions, a 14- or 90-day date may be misleading.
What exactly this time limit means
Article 13 of current Law No. 1023-XII governs a consumer’s right to withdraw from a distance contract by notifying the seller. The normal confirmation period is 14 days; defective confirmation may open a 90-day period. Correcting the defects during that period starts a separate 14-day period.
For a physical product, check receipt or first delivery; for a service, check confirmation of the information; and for a separate telecommunications service, check the contract date. Actual notice and its proof matter more than the date shown in the service account.
This branch differs from exchanging goods of proper quality in an ordinary store under Article 9. Product defects, how the item is returned, and mutual settlements require a separate assessment.
Calculation methodology
Calendar methodology
- We determine whether the contract is a distance contract and whether an obvious statutory exception applies.
- We match the type of purchase to the documented triggering event.
- Select the branch for proper, defective or corrected confirmation; without confirmation, stop the automatic calculation.
- Add 14 or 90 calendar days; show when the period starts and the unadjusted final date.
Example for Kyiv
The buyer in Kyiv received a delivered product from a capital-city marketplace on September 5, 2026. The seller properly confirmed the information, and the product is not an exception.
- Tangible goods; receipt date — September 5, 2026.
- Proper confirmation and no applicable exception.
First day is 6 September; the unadjusted 14th day is 19 September 2026.
Before sending the notice, check the acknowledgment, subject of the contract, and dated proof that the refusal was sent.
What to keep
- An order, agreement, or electronic receipt showing the seller and product details.
- Seller’s confirmation of the information, all versions, and dates received.
- A delivery note or goods issue report, and details of the first delivery if there were several.
- Text of the withdrawal notice and dated proof of sending, and, if available, delivery to the seller.
- Photos of the product and its completeness, and return documents if the item has already been handed over.

Frequently asked questions
From what date should the period for goods be counted?
From the documented event under Article 13: receipt of the goods or first delivery and proper confirmation of the information. Do not substitute the order date.
Can the 90-day period always be used if the seller sent nothing?
No. The 90-day branch relates to defective confirmation. If no confirmation is available, the materials must be analyzed and Article 13 applied to the specific facts.
What does corrected confirmation change?
If the seller fixes the defects within 90 days, a new 14-day period begins from the confirmed correction date.
Can returning the goods itself prove rejection?
Yes, Article 13 allows the return of a physical product to evidence withdrawal from the contract. Keep the date and proof of return; a separate clear notice to the seller reduces the risk of a dispute about the intent expressed.
Does the calculator work for purchases in an ordinary store?
No. Exchanges of goods of proper quality in a regular store are checked separately under Article 9 and the dedicated calculator.
