Enforcement document submission deadline calculator
Enter when the period for presenting the enforcement document began and the claimant type. The tool helps quickly estimate the basic period before contacting a public or private enforcement officer in Kyiv.

Preliminary deadline calculation
The calculator adds 3 years for an ordinary enforcement claimant or 3 months when the claimant is the state or a state authority.
Enter the first day of the period, not merely the document issue date. This is usually the day after a decision takes effect, a deferral or installment period ends, or a decision for immediate enforcement is made.

This is the basic option under Article 12. Certain documents or periodic payments require separate review.

What exactly the calculator shows
Under Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On Enforcement Proceedings,” enforcement documents may generally be presented for compulsory enforcement within 3 years. If the claimant is the state or a state authority, the period is 3 months.
The tool does not determine the start date automatically. If there was immediate enforcement, a stay, installment payments, return of the document, interruption of the period, or an application to renew it, first establish the correct start date from the documents.
Calculation methodology
Methodology for the deadline to present an enforcement document
- The user enters the date already identified as the start of the enforcement filing period.
- For an ordinary creditor, add three calendar years.
- For the state or a state authority, add three calendar months.
- Return of the document, interruption, renewal of the period, and special payments are checked separately.
Calculation example
For an ordinary claimant in Kyiv, the enforcement writ limitation period starts on 15 May 2026.
- Creditor type: ordinary
- Start of the period: 15.05.2026
- Baseline time limit: 3 years
Estimated last day to present it: May 15, 2029.
If the document has already been returned or the decision is subject to a special enforcement procedure, the deadline may be calculated differently.
What to check in the documents

Frequently asked questions
Can the date the writ of execution was issued be entered?
Not always. The calculation requires the date when the period for presenting the document began. This may be tied to the decision becoming final, immediate enforcement, a deferral, or installment payments.
What should be selected if the claimant is a municipal utility?
This must be checked based on the creditor’s status and the document. The calculator has only two basic categories: an ordinary creditor or the state / a state body.
How does return of an enforcement document affect the time limit?
A return may change how the period runs afterward. In some cases, the period after interruption starts on the day the document is returned or the legal prohibition ends.
If the deadline has passed, can the document no longer be filed?
Not necessarily. The law allows an application to the court to renew a missed time limit, but the grounds must be supported.
Are the rules the same for child support?
No. Documents for enforcing child support and other periodic payments may be presented throughout the entire period for which the payments were awarded.
