Court fee for a claim
Court fee calculator for a civil claim
Select the claim composition, enter the value of the property claim and the number of independent non-property claims. The calculator applies rates for an individual, the UAH 3,328 subsistence minimum as of January 1, 2026 and, if applicable, the 0.8 coefficient for electronic filing.

Calculation for a civil claim in the court of first instance
The tool calculates the property and non-property components separately, adds them together, and applies the electronic filing multiplier to the total.
Calculation scope: an individual’s or sole proprietor’s civil claim in a court of first instance in 2026. Exemptions, waivers, deferrals, fee reductions, and other applications are not included.
A mixed claim includes a property claim and one or more independent non-property claims at the same time. The property rate is added to the rates for all independent non-property claims.
Enter the claim value determined under the Civil Procedure Code. The value must be greater than zero.
Count the separate non-property claims, for each of which a separate fee is payable.
The 0.8 coefficient applies when the document is filed with the court electronically.

How the court fee is determined
For a civil property claim by an individual or sole proprietor, the fee is 1% of the claim value, subject to a lower limit of 0.4 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons and an upper limit of 5 such subsistence minimums.
For an individual’s non-property claim, the fee is 0.4 subsistence minimums. If one application combines several independent non-property claims, a fee is payable for each. In a mixed claim, the property and non-property fees are added together.
For electronic filing of a procedural document, the law provides a 0.8 coefficient to reduce the applicable rate. The calculator applies it after adding the components and rounds the result to the nearest kopeck.
Calculation methodology
Calculation methodology
- Limit the calculation to an individual or individual entrepreneur, a civil claim and first instance in 2026.
- For the property component, calculate 1% of the claim value, round to the nearest kopeck, and apply the UAH 1,331.20–16,640 limits.
- For the non-property component, multiply UAH 1,331.20 by the entered number of independent claims.
- For a mixed claim, add the property and non-property components.
- If the electronic form is selected, multiply the total by 0.8 and round to the nearest kopiyka using the “half up” rule.
- We show separate components, the property-rate branch used, and the base year so the calculation can be checked.
Example of a mixed claim
An individual is electronically filing a civil claim in a district court in Kyiv, with a pecuniary claim of UAH 250,000 and two independent non-pecuniary claims.
- Pecuniary claim value: UAH 250,000
- Number of non-property claims: 2
- Filing method: electronic
- Subsistence minimum as of 1 January 2026: UAH 3,328
Property component: UAH 2,500. Non-property component: UAH 2,662.40. Total before the coefficient: UAH 5,162.40. After the 0.8 coefficient — UAH 4,129.92.
The example assumes the claim value is correct, both non-property claims are independent, the claimant has no exemption, and the document is actually filed electronically.

Frequently asked questions
Who is this calculation for?
For an individual or sole proprietor filing a civil claim in a court of first instance in 2026. Rates differ for legal entities and administrative or commercial cases.
Why is 1% of the claim value not always the fee amount?
For an individual’s property claim, the law sets a minimum of 0.4 subsistence minimums and a maximum of 5 subsistence minimums for the 1% fee. In 2026, these are UAH 1,331.20 and UAH 16,640 respectively.
How are multiple non-property claims calculated?
The calculator multiplies UAH 1,331.20 by the number of independent non-property claims. If claims are derivative, alternative, or interconnected, their composition must be checked separately.
How to calculate a mixed claim?
Add UAH 1,331.20 for each independent non-property claim to the property fee based on the claim value. If the document is filed electronically, apply the 0.8 coefficient to the total afterward.
Can the 0.8 coefficient always be applied?
It is intended for filing a procedural document electronically. Before paying, confirm that your document is being filed electronically and that the payment matches the filing method.
Is a court-fee benefit taken into account?
No. The calculator shows the general rate without benefits. Check the claimant’s status, subject matter, and grounds for exemption under Article 5 of the Law before payment.
Will this rate still apply in 2027?
No, it cannot be moved automatically. The court fee depends on the subsistence minimum as of January 1 of the calendar year, so the numerical base must be updated every year.
