Creditor claims in bankruptcy
Calculator for creditor claim deadline in bankruptcy proceedings
Enter the date of the official notice that proceedings were opened, and first classify the claim. For a creditor in Kyiv or Kyiv region, the tool shows the calendar, but does not determine for the court whether the claim is bankruptcy-related, current, secured, or specially protected.

Check the 30-day bankruptcy creditor deadline
The formula applies only to a monetary insolvency claim that arose before the proceedings opened, after the notice is checked on the official portal.
Copy the date specifically from the notice opening proceedings on the official judiciary web portal. Time is disregarded; “today” is determined in Europe/Kyiv.

Do not use the date of the ruling, a letter from the insolvency practitioner, or an unofficial publication instead of the announcement date.
Enabled by default. This checks an ordinary day off only, not holidays, martial law, the court’s schedule, or the availability of electronic filing.
Preliminary filing calendar
Special rules apply to child support, injury to life or health, royalties, and mixed or disputed claims. The calculator stops to avoid giving an incorrect deadline.
How the 30 days after pronouncement are counted
Under part one of Article 45 of the Code of Ukraine on Bankruptcy Procedures, competing creditors must file written claims with supporting documents within 30 days of official publication of the notice opening the proceedings.
The special rule includes the publication day in the count. For example, for publication on October 28, 2025, calendar day 30 is November 26, 2025.
Applications filed after the deadline are also considered, but such a creditor has no right to a casting vote, and actions and court decisions made in the case before their participation are binding on them.
Calculation methodology
Preliminary calculation methodology
- The user filters out current, fully secured, special, and undefined claims.
- Check the date against the official notice that proceedings were opened.
- The publication date is counted as day 1, then 29 calendar days are added.
- With this assumption enabled, Saturday or Sunday is moved to Monday.
- The resulting date is compared with the current date in Europe/Kyiv without adding an automatic renewal period.
Example for a supplier from Kyiv Oblast
A company from Brovary has unpaid deliveries made before the buyer’s bankruptcy case was opened. The official notice was published on October 28, 2025.
- An unsecured monetary claim that arose before the proceedings were opened
- Official publication date: 28.10.2025
- The notice and case number were checked on the judiciary portal
October 28 is day 1, so calendar day 30 is November 26, 2025. Since this is a Wednesday, the Monday extension does not apply.
Before filing, check the source documents, principal debt and accrued amounts, court fee, electronic signature, and proof that copies were sent to the participants.
What the creditor should prepare
- Official notice opening proceedings, with the case number and debtor details.

Frequently asked questions
Does the publication date of the notice count toward the 30 days?
Yes. For this special period, the count starts on the date of official publication: that date is day 1, and day 30 is reached by adding 29 days.
Can the date of the order opening proceedings be used?
No, if it differs from the official publication date. Check the announcement using the case number, name, and debtor code.
Is the claim extinguished if the 30 days are missed?
No, the claim does not automatically end just because it was late. However, the creditor has no decisive vote, prior case acts are binding on them, and review and satisfaction of the claim have the consequences established by law.
Can the 30-day period be reinstated?
The Bankruptcy Procedures Code does not provide for automatic renewal of this period as an ordinary procedural deadline. File the application as soon as possible and separately assess the consequences of being late.
Is the deadline extended if day 30 falls on a Sunday?
General procedural rules may move the end date to the first working day. The calculator models only Saturday and Sunday; check martial-law holiday rules and the court’s actual schedule separately.
Does the calculator calculate the court fee?
No. The fee depends on the rule in force on the filing date and the status of the application. The tool deliberately does not insert an unverified amount.
