Fee for a property-related commercial claim

For a legal entity, one property claim, and filing in a court of first instance in 2026.

Rate for an ordinary property claim by a legal entity in a first-instance commercial court. This is not a fee calculation for an individual’s civil claim.

Enter the confirmed value of the pecuniary claim to the nearest kopeck. The calculator does not determine its composition under the Commercial Procedure Code.

How you actually file the claim

The 0.8 coefficient applies only when the procedural document is filed with the court electronically.

How the rate is determined

For filing a property claim in a commercial court, the Law of Ukraine “On Court Fees” sets a rate of 1.5% of the claim value, subject to a minimum of one and a maximum of 350 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons. For 2026, use the figure as of January 1: UAH 3,328.

The 0.8 coefficient is applied to the determined rate only when a procedural document is filed electronically. An intention to file electronically is not grounds for reducing a paper payment.

Methodology

Calculation methodology

Calculation methodology

  1. We accept a positive claim value for one property claim by a legal entity in an ordinary first-instance commercial claim in 2026.
  2. We calculate 1.5% in kopecks and compare it with the UAH 3,328 minimum and UAH 1,164,800 maximum.
  3. For actual electronic filing, multiply the rate after the limits by 0.8; there is no reduction for paper filing.
  4. We show the percentage amount, both limits, the branch applied, and the final estimated payment.
Example

Example of a claim in Kyiv

A Kyiv company is preparing an ordinary property claim for UAH 500,000 against a counterparty. After checking jurisdiction and venue, it plans to file electronically with the Commercial Court of Kyiv City.

  • Claim value: UAH 500,000
  • Rate: 1.5%
  • Filing method: electronic

500,000 × 1.5% = UAH 7,500; the limits do not change the rate; 7,500 × 0.8 = approximately UAH 6,000 payable.

The example assumes one property claim, no exemption, and actual electronic filing. Check venue against the dispute materials.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the calculator suitable for an individual entrepreneur?

No. This page is limited to an ordinary pecuniary claim by a legal entity. Venue and the rate for a different claimant must be checked separately.

Why might 1.5% not match the payment amount?

The law sets a minimum fee of UAH 3,328 and a maximum of UAH 1,164,800 for 2026. After these limits, the 0.8 coefficient is available only for actual electronic filing.

Can the 0.8 coefficient be applied if payment was made online but the claim was filed on paper?

No. The decisive factor is the form in which the procedural document is submitted to court, not the payment method.

Where can I find the payment details for Kyiv and the region?

First determine the proper court under the Commercial Procedure Code of Ukraine. The Commercial Court of Kyiv City and the Commercial Court of Kyiv Region publish separate payment details; do not copy an account from someone else’s receipt.

Does the result cover a mixed claim?

No. If an independent non-pecuniary claim is made alongside a pecuniary claim, its rate and payment rules must also be assessed under the law.

Need to check the payment before filing?

A lawyer can check the claims, jurisdiction between Kyiv and Kyiv Region, claim value and details of the proper commercial court.

  • the calculator result can serve as a reference for a conversation
  • documents, deadlines, or contract terms may change the conclusion
